IMCD takes climate protection seriously and proactively responds to risks and opportunities relating to climate change together with suppliers and customers and in its logistics.
We optimise daily operations, focusing on reducing greenhouse gas emissions from our activities and in the supply chain. We engage with third-party logistic providers to reduce Scope 3 emissions. IMCD ensures the highest standards are applied for its waste handling and disposal to avoid environmental pollution.
We foster a culture of continuous improvement and challenge the status quo to achieve a more sustainable future.
IMCD's direct environmental footprint is limited given its asset-light business model. Nevertheless, reducing its overall operational footprint on the environment is essential for IMCD and its stakeholders.
IMCD acknowledges that Supply chain decarbonisation is only possible in close cooperation with our logistics partners.
Therefore, we support our business partners in their journey to decrease carbon emissions through efficient routing, optimisation of volume-mileage ratio and implementation of sustainable transport modes, where possible.
In our Climate Strategy, we identify and monitor the impacts of climate change, both risks and opportunities, on IMCD's business. Where needed, we prepare and adapt our business processes to mitigate negative effects. We do so in close collaboration with our suppliers and customers, as well as with our logistics partners.
